Radial Ball
Radial insert bearings are fitted in almost every piece of agricultural machinery.
Radial ball bearings consist of an inner and outer ring with a cage containing a complement of precision balls. The standard bearing has a deep-groove construction capable of handling radial and axial loads from either direction in versatile designs that permit relatively high-speed operation.
Spherical roller bearings are radial bearings with a high load carrying capacity. They can compensate misalignments up to +/- 2° due to their spherical internal geometry. Commonly used in roll bearing supports or grain processing machinery (these bearings are essential if shaft deflections and misalignment sare present in conjunction with high loads)

Cylindrical Roller Bearings
Cylindrical roller bearings used in agriculture are typically with an outer ring to achieve higher speeds. Used in tractor transmissions and drive trains as well as self-propelled harvesting machines
Cylindrical roller bearings without outer ring allow very compact planet gear bearing supports with a high load carrying capacity. In this design, the rolling elements run directly in the bore of the planet gear. The bearings can be axially located in the planet by means of thrust washers and a retaining ring.
Needle Roller
Needle roller bearings are an important component in transmissions of agricultural machinery. Many types of needle roller bearings are available most commonly;
- Drawn Cup Roller Bearings– to support radial loads and reduce friction between rotating components. There are two basic designs: the full complement and the caged version.
- Machined needle Roller Bearings– heavy-duty needle roller bearings provide maximum load capacity and shock resistance with a relatively small radial cross section.
- Needle roller bearings with cage assemblies– needle roller and cage assemblies consist of a complement of needle rollers held in place by a cage. With no inner or outer ring, the low cross section provides maximum load-carrying capability within the smallest envelope.

Tapered Roller Bearing
Tapered roller bearings are available in single, double and four-row tapered roller bearing configurations.
Single-row tapered bearings -The most basic and widely used tapered roller bearing, the single-row tapered roller bearing consists of the cone assembly and the cup. It is usually fitted as one of an opposing pair. During equipment assembly, single-row tapered roller bearings can be set to the required clearance or preload condition to optimize performance.
Double-row tapered bearings – (two-row) tapered roller bearings feature double cups and two single cones. They are available in a variety of configurations for general industrial and automotive applications.
Four-row tapered bearings – provide maximum capacity in minimum space, combining the inherent high-load, radial/thrust capacity and direct/indirect mounting variables of tapered roller bearings.
